Ok, so you read some about me and you know I am 38 years old, married for the 2nd time, and have 3 children. My name is Jen and I am a mom, and a college student–YIKES!

What are some really interesting things about me? First let me get some stats out of the way and then I’ll really start peeling some layers away:

First, I am southern born and bred. I have never lived more north than Northern Virginia, and even then I thought those people were Yankee.

I am 5′4″, have auburn hair and it’s curly, so curly my mama used to iron it when I was little..it didn’t work, and I now pay several hundred dollars to straighten it just so I can manage the curl somewhat.  It’s THAT curly.

I love to read, but never have time for it anymore.  It shames me to say that. But  I have created this endlessly busy life of taking care, taking care, taking care, and it seems that any free time I have I am on the computer these days.  If I try to sit and read, I am so tired I end up falling asleep.

I have suffered from depression and an eating disorder. The depression I am not so sure I am through with.  It still comes and goes, but I am not being treated currently…watch for a blog on this topic.  The eating disorder was binge eating, and I am not doing that although I do overeat at times and am a bit overweight.  I will write on this soon.

I mentioned I am southern, but I must admit I love my Northern girlfriends.  They are a breath of fresh air.  They aren’t two faced –they tell you like it is!  They aren’t sugary sweet—they are blunt and to the point!  They are honest and yes, sometimes it comes across as rude, or abrupt, but at least you know where you stand.  I appreciate that and am attracted to those personalities.

I met my 2nd husband in a blues bar, and I adore him.  The best thing about him is that he never forgets anything and he is kind.  The worst thing about him is that he is unromantic and has forgotten how to talk to me like a woman.  He still holds me, tells me he loves me, etc, and we love each other.  Watch for a blog on this too.

I love all animals, but I am really a cat person.  I like dogs, and love certain breeds, like the cocker spaniel, or the poodle, or even the German Shepherd.  But most dogs, I get really irritated with the mess, and the chewing, and the digging, and the walking…..I have enough chores with 3 kids, thank you.  Give me a cat anyday.  They love you and snuggle with you too!

I am Christian.  I have been a Presbyterian all my life, and recently joined a Baptist Church.  Watch for a blog on this as well.  It’s been a life-altering experience.

I have experienced grown-up bullying by female friends recently. I have never in my life experienced this until recently.  I will be writing about this as well.

That is all for now.  I will post more later.  If you have anything you want to know about me, just ask.

Jen

Hello Jenwhit. Better late than never, yes?

All my degrees are in music; psychology is definitely “a personal interest fueled by fires within.”

Have read both your home page and this one. Suggest you check out Matthew 5:14-17.

    I wish you well.
